Introduction to Documentation
Basic Service clients do not need to take action to receive relief at source benefits in the three eligible markets - Canada, Ireland, and Japan.
Full Service clients need to complete and return documentation included in their introductory letter to enroll in the service and maximize their entitlements. As the provider responsible for tax recovery services, GlobeTax strives for a “low touch” enrollment process. In this model, GlobeTax generates all documents that a client needs to recover taxes in all foreign countries. Even if a client is not presently invested in a specific market, having the necessary documents on-file at the outset will limit the need for constant back-and-forth communication if/when the client does invest. To further limit back-and-forth, GlobeTax includes a Power of Attorney in all document packets that empowers the company to handle all aspects of withholding tax recovery on behalf of clients.
Although each client will receive a slightly different document packet based on their entity type and country of residency, all document packets share common features. We overview those common documents in the tutorials that follow.
